After Graduation

Ongoing Independent Study

Following my time spent at University I needed to take some time to soul-search after some troubling experiences and challenges I faced. Following some time spent working in customer service, I've also made strides to expand my skills and pursue creative avenues that I missed out on in the past.

Due to the nature of the Covid outbreak, I was given all the more reason to double down and focus all my attention on expanding these skills.

The following are a few example of Independent Study I've been undertaking in my own time, using primarily critically acclaimed courses on Udemy.com.

C# Coding

Video game development has been a long pursued passion of mine, but my eventual studies at University took me on a different path. However I've decided to not let this affect my ability to pursue this medium even just as a hobbyist.

This in mind however C# Code is very adaptable. Having used some of it at university to develop infographics and websites I believe becoming proficient in this skill will only help me approach

more and more creative outlets.

3D Modelling

Much in the same regard to my passion for video games, I have been pursuing 3D modelling through the use of the Blender program. Much like my studies with C# I am making use of a Udemy course to learn this skill.

I would eventually like to be able to use this skill in a variety of ways such as 3D animation, rigging, landscaping and much more.

Japanese Language

My previous two examples of my independent working have been ongoing for a couple of years now. However my decision to learn the Japanese language only started this year in 2021.

I feel like an additional language is something that can be useful no matter what it is, and Japan is a country and culture I've been appreciative of for many years. My decision to learn the language was spur of the moment but it more or less boiled down to "why not?".
